I ran across your little contribution to Mana. Although the article has since been much improved, that addition of yours was the most important, I think—so I moved it to the front and expanded on it a bit. - Marshman 17:39, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Thanks. :-) It's a word that is used in day-to-day speech in New Zealand (in the polynesian sense of respect) and, hence, to me is shorn of all 'magic' and 'life-force' connitations. The mana of various Maori figures has occasionally caused interesting situations in the politics of this country. Tenbaset 05:00, Jun 13, 2004 (UTC)

Specifically New Zealand subjects

Greetings, Shannon. I see you've had a busy week at WP.

The reason I haven't talked to you before is that I wasn't aware of your presence. One reason is you weren't on the list of NZ Wikipedians; the other is that since I joined you've been doing things "outside" NZ (except maybe "Cessna"!!).

Now I've discovered your major contributions to "Iwi". I hope we can persuade some Maori speakers to translate it for my stub on the Maori WP.

I hope you continue to enjoy contributing.

Best wishes from the Capital. Robin Patterson 00:40, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Hi, You might want to consider adding {{User NZ res}} to the top of your user page, which will add you to this category automatically and also add a nice graphic. Onco_p53 08:42, 14 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]
