Fair use rationale for Image:Dusty.jpg

Thanks for uploading

fair use
but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

If you are a product of the current fame-seeking generation, I can only advise you to do something truly important with your life. Being seen doing something absurd on television or being mentioned on a webcast isn't worthwhile fame. Make a difference in your community, visit another part of the world and try to address the wrongs you see there, or perform some truly notable task such as writing a novel. These things are worth being known for. Sadly, the news brings us people every day who make the world a much worse place in an attempt to get 15 minutes of fame. Take the example of a shooting spree in the central United States last year (Westroads Mall shooting). The note left by the (now deceased) gunman, so telling of the time in which we live, essentially said that he did it just so that he would be mentioned on the news. It makes me sad to see things like this...and very scared, as well. I don't want to be a part of a society where all fame is good fame. I urge you to reconsider if, looking back on your life, you would be proud to tell your grandchildren that you once added the word "rape" to a Wikipedia article and got mentioned on a podcast. I sincerely hope the answer is a resounding "No". I seem to have gone on for a while, so I will skip the intended discussion on why rape isn't a joking matter. Best wishes and I hope I have been enlightening, GaryColemanFan (talk) 20:37, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Mark Madden

I have nominated Mark Madden, an article you created, for deletion. Disambiguation link notification for May 15

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Simple E, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Bring it On and Sugar Hill (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
