Sourcing

Hi there. You've had some edits reverted recently by several editors and I wanted to explain why. Basically, additions to Wikipedia need to be verifiable and reliably sourced - ideally to secondary sources rather than primary ones. You can't engage in original research, and you can't infer facts from opinions or several different sources to arrive at a conclusion (such as at your recent edit on Identity Ireland). I'd highly recommend reading the following pages - yes, it can be tedious, but worth it in the long run!

  • Verifiability policy
  • Reliable sourcing
  • Original research
  • synthesis

Information icon Hello, I'm The Banner. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Renua seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please do not add a political statement based on unsuitable sources. The Banner talk 09:51, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Human Dignity Alliance. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. The Banner talk 09:53, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Identity Ireland, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop using Wikipedia as a political forum The Banner talk 09:59, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

2024 Galway City Council election
moved to draftspace

Thanks for your contributions to

2024 Galway City Council election
. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and there is only one party listed may bias readers towards that party in the election, and hence be seen as partisan. Please ensure that the candidate list is complete before returning to the main space.. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Klbrain (talk) 13:14, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
