Hello, TriebelD, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read

the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard

to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on

section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.botanischestaatssammlung.de/DatabaseClients/IndExs/About.jsp. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing
.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 14:32, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the comment and hints and for deleting my first trial text! I now slightly changed the subject of my first article. I will devote it to basic information on the very special system in botany and mycology called "exsiccatae" (published print works of botanists/ mycologists together with parallel distributing the cited and numbered herbarium specimens), explaining the history, relevance and current developments of this system without advertising the web interface IndExs for bibliography of such works.
PS I am from the academic sector, currently without experience on Wikipedia editing rules but experience with Media Wikis of the Biowikifarm. TriebelD (talk) 10:58, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your message. You might also benefit from reviewing the page entitled Wikipedia:Expert editors. Writing on Wikipedia is very different from academic writing. While we welcome the knowledge and expertise of subject-matter experts, they are treated as equals with all other Wikipedia editors. All editors are expected to follow Wikipedia's relevant policies and guidelines. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 14:19, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings

Hello! Your name is one I recognise from creating and updating many articles on fungi and lichens. Thanks for creating the article on

WP:LICHENS. Happy editing! Esculenta (talk) 15:50, 14 September 2022 (UTC)[reply

Thank you for your positive comment. The article "Exsiccata" is just missing images and the repeated citation of the same reference should be changed. Perhaps you might support and continue? TriebelD (talk) 09:53, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, do you know why the Meebold wiki page (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Meebold) is added under related articles of the article exsiccata (smartphone view). Its only because he collected a lot of specimens now deposited at the Botanische Staatssammlung? He was a collector but not an editor of an exsiccata. Do you know how to change this? TriebelD (talk) 22:40, 16 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Esculenta, perhaps you can support our action to create the article
IndExs - Index of Exsiccatae which will connect the article exsiccata and vice versa. Currently, it is proposed for deletion. TriebelD (talk) 15:11, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply
]
Sure, I'll work on the article by incorporating some of the additional sources you listed at the AfD; I'm quite sure that these additional citations will prove that notability is met. Esculenta (talk) 15:45, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks a lot in advance! TriebelD (talk) 16:02, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

We hope that the article will not be deleted bur improved. We designed it similar to the article on MycoBank under https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MycoBank which describes a similar kind of biological online database. The article is important to explain the resource and the access poitn and location of upcoming technical services to persistently link IndExs exsiccata IDs and IndExs exsiccata editors IDs and information with Wikidata items, e.g. https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Property:P12371.
