By listing multiple countries in one table cell you've made it impossible to use the sortabel table for finding out brand names according to country names (clicking on the little icon next to the word "Country" reorganizes the information alphabetically according to country name, try clicking on it now to figure out which brand names exist in Belgium, for example: doesn't work). Presumably you weren't aware of this, still, please undo the damage you caused and re-separate the entries to be listed individually. Dan Pelleg (talk) 10:30, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
I weren't aware of this; if I wanted to find out the names in my country, I would just use Ctrl+F. The long variant with one country name per row and lots of duplicated names looked very, very ugly. --Tweenk (talk) 14:21, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Wikipedia is about providing information, not beauty, so if it's either providing information in a better way or showing it more beautifully, then beauty must loose. Moreover, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, practicality on the other hand is universal. Separate the country names and one click on the sorting symbol next to "country" immediately lists all brand names within one country alphabetically, obviously an incomparably better feature than having a user repeatedly click a search field to gather the information. File:MCF Logo 32x32.png missing description details
is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors make better use of the image, and it will be more informative to readers.
If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.
If you have any questions, please seeFile permission problem with File:MCF Logo 32x32.png
Thanks for uploading File:MCF Logo 32x32.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 09:17, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for February 1
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of hyperboloid structures, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gettysburg and Ochsenkopf. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
