Pearl King (songwriter) is not Earl King

Pearl King was a wife of Dave Bartholomew, legal name Pearl Rita King Bartholomew, a co-writer of some Bartholomew's songs, including I Hear You Knocking, please look at https://iswcnet.cisac.org/logon.do and search this title here with the Creator's name Bartholomew. You'll find ISWC: T-070.240.614-1, credited to BARTHOLOMEW DAVE and PEARL KING. No trace of Earl King. See also the Discogs' page for this songwriter. Citation:

Pearl King, born August 10, 1922 deceased April 18, 1967 in New Orleans, she was the wife of Dave Bartholomew and has writer credit on many songs associated with Dave Bartholomew, a New Orleans composer, artist, band leader, producer and A&R man. Pearl King is sometimes credited as P King, P. King or King. Pearl King died of cancer at the age of 44. The variation or alias of Earl King is not correct.

Wow. Looks like I picked a bad time to be offline.
It appears you're right. At the very least my edit was wrong. I can't find/remember exactly what led me to think Pearl King was an alias for Earl King (not that it really matters).
The error seems to have been fixed in my absence after a very polite discussion. Thank you for this catch. I appreciate it and sincerely regret having made this error.
