On January 25, 2021, WMFQ began airing Elvis Duran and the Morning Show after hosts Jenn Ryan and Kevin "Bus" Birdhouse were furloughed, and transferred to WYOY in Jackson, Mississippi.[1]
On October 31, 2023 Some listeners of the WMFQ frequency began broadcasting Port Charlotte’s Kix Country 92.9 on their radios during the early morning hours as their towers were down.
