This biography is largely unsupported by sourcing. I previously prodded it, when it only had the passing mention in the New York Times. Now a book reference has been added, but I'm still not convinced if this alone is sufficient for

There are several sources that say that he was the advisor on Jewish affairs in Romania, i.e. the officer in charge of implementing the final solution in a country that was firmly in the Nazi camp but still retained some autonomy. This is much more than just being a "normal" SS officer.
