The result was no consensus. Anyone can redirect this as an editorial decision, and someone probably should, if this article isn't getting expanded or the section in Azores isn't getting reduced, per summary style. W.marsh 21:09, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
History of Azores

The entirety of this article has been copied, not by me, into the article on Azores. JVC 18:49, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment That's not a reason for deletion. You can always just merge it. Ten Pound Hammer • (Broken clamshells•Otter chirps) 19:23, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. JVC has it backward. It was in the Azores article first, then copied over verbatim. There have been no significant edits since, so there is nothing in the edit history worth keeping. Clarityfiend 20:21, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. This is a substantial article (if unreferenced) and summary linking to this article. This is exactly what {{tl|main}] exists for. --Dhartung | Talk 20:41, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment Why? The Azores article isn't very long. Clarityfiend 20:49, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. I would think that this is how most "History of ____" articles start -- the main article's History section is copied out and then expanded upon. No need to delete, unless the content violates policy in some other way. It's certainly a reasonably notable topic. Dylan 23:10, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Strong redirect to Azores#History. That should be obvious, really, when the content is an exact copy. An article can always be created when/if the section becomes too large--victor falk 00:20, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep Seems like an ordinary spinoff following our usual Wikipedia:Summary style.--Yannick 05:02, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Have you read both the article and the history section of "Azores"? They're identical. It was copypasted 6 months ago, and then nothing happened, not a single edit until this afd.--victor falk 05:46, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
