Refrences provided are all passing mentions or not notable, and as such the article fails
WP:GNG. Tried CSD but another editor pointed out the Dictionary of Canadian Biography is notable enough to prevent CSD. Kirbanzo (talk) 14:32, 8 May 2018 (UTC)

- Keep. The reference to the Dictionary of Canadian Biography is most certainly not just a passing mention, and, although it is not necessary for references themselves to be notable, the Dictionary of Canadian Biography certainly is. There are loads of further sources found by simply clicking on the word "books" in the spoon-fed search links above. The nominator seems to have a problem with evaluating the notability of serious historical subjects, as evidenced also by this deletion proposal. 86.17.222.157 (talk) 20:47, 8 May 2018 (UTC)
- Keep. An article in the Dictionary of Canadian Biography is almost always an indicator of notability. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 11:51, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
