A search for references had difficulty (term cross over to Apple Computing) in finding published support for the content of this article. The position appears to exist, but did not find anything significant beyond that. Fails

- Article content "A Mac Operator will often do much of the less creative work in a design studio, or publishing house. This can include marked-up text corrections, spell checks and formatting documents to pre-arranged templates. However, in a pre-press or print environment, the role can be a much more technical one and being a Mac Operator is rarely a route to becoming a graphic designer."

- Delete Really only a dictionary definition, "a person who operates a Mac." Unless sources are provided that give a more substantial meaning then WP does not really need an article. Borock (talk) 07:45, 24 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- This 3-sentence article is between misleading and downright wrong. ISBN 9780262112239 pp. 46 tells us that even 20 years ago the professional distinctions between graphic designer, finishing artist, photo-retoucher, et al. were disappearing; and it was no longer the case that a specialist profession of "the computer technician who handles the part involving the computers" existed. By the time that this article was written, it was more than a decade out of date, and it had already become clear that being the "computer operator" was not only not not a route to being a graphic designer, contrary to the third sentence, it was in fact part of being a graphic designer. - Delete. This doesn't appear to be a valid job description, even if it was in the past. It doesn't even provide sources as a definition. No need for this article on Wikipedia. ~talk) 05:39, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
