No evidence that this was a community. Durham says there was a post office called Schmidtville two miles from Stege from 1900 to 1901 but as we've seen multiple times, a post office is not certain evidence of a community. GNIS has no record of a community (or anything else) named Schmidtville in the county. I don't get any hits that say anything more than it was a post office. Does not meet basic notability criteria. • Keep Weak Keep because Schmidtville had a post office.
  WP:GEOLAND. 9 trivial articles in newspapers.com searching for "Schmidtville Contra Costa", here are the better ones: "farmers of Schmidtville," runaway bride married at Schmidtville - mentions George W. Schmidt, postmaster and owner of a "large part of Schmidtville", building lots available at Schmidtville, article (really an advertisement) for Schmidt's Village, picnic held by socialists at Schmidtville. Schmidtville is not listed in the current list of Richmond Neighborhood Councils. I did not check Google Books. • Delete Yet another erroneous GNIS designation. Post offices are not indicators of passing
