- Delete it's possible that an assistant coach can generate enough press to pass WP:GNG or another measure, but not very often. This case does not appear to be an exception. - Here's what my search was able to find: SMU to hire Liberty defensive coordinator Scott Symons from the Dallas News (maybe SIGCOV); Memphis hires Symons as inside LBs coach from The Commercial Appeal (via Newspapers.com) (SIGCOV); SMU hires Liberty's DC Scott Symons as DC from 247Sports (SIGCOV); Symons heading to SMU, Willis cherishes final LU game, and more from The News & Advance (maybe SIGCOV?); Scott Symons to be named Liberty’s Defensive Coordinator from ASOR (probably SIGCOV. Not sure about reliability); and Liberty DC Scott Symons to be named DC at SMU from ASOR (probably SIGCOV. Not sure about reliability). Seems pretty borderline. I am neutral for now. - Delete, I do not see significant in-depth coverage here.--Mvqr (talk) 12:21, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Delete, I don't really see them as being notable at this point in time. There's bound to be some coverage of any hiring in this day and age, but it's not exactly a significant amount in this case. Hey man im josh (talk) 11:24, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
