Pyfan

Pyfan (talk · contribs) Hi, I've been a user since March 2008 and recently tried for adminship, I was unsuccessful, it was suggested that I try a Editor's review, so here I am. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me :). Oli OR Pyfan! 11:23, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • Well Pyfan, you seem like a good editor. I'm guessing your RfA probably failed due to your number of edits here on Wikipedia. I recommend actually editing articles (such as editing the content not just reverting disruption), I also recommend editing areas of WP, like
WP:ER. In the future, if you do get into conflicts, remain civil and try to ask for third party help to avoid a edit war. Once you gain more experience, your second RfA should be able to pass ;) Best, --RUCӨ 20:05, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply

  • Well, for my RfA standards, please see User:A_Nobody#RfA_Standards. Anyway, I am happy that you have not been blocked and am encouraged by User:Pyfan/Barnstars and awards. Best, --A NobodyMy talk 00:42, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
My main contributions are vandal related, with about an even number of edits in the mainspace as User talk. I have the rollback flag on the English Wikipedia, and use semi-automated tools like
    Huggle
to quicken the vandalism reversion process.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
There have, of course, been some instances, as is enevitable, where a user is not particlarly happy with edits I make. One example would be
    WP:3RR
so I informed him of that on the talkpage. Wrist Instability was blocked indefinately.
