I was translating History of Neuroscience in Bengali and also updating in Wikipedia content translation page but during publishing the extended version (rest of early views) of my translation, it was showing some conflict and got deleted. As an administrator can Wikipedia restore my submission. It will be very helpful for me as tomorrow I have to submit to Bengali Wikipedia.

I would like to ask if Netflix's daily top 10 chart per country can be used on pages? I'm not sure if the same standers are applied to TV series charts, but per Wikipedia:Record charts, "Charts pertaining to only one specific retailer should not be used", meaning you can't add Amazon, Spotify, and iTunes charts. Hi, the page for "Citizens Councils" reflects only the White Supremacy historic explanation for the term, we want to add a contemporary one, about new Citizens' Councils based on participatory democracy. How can we structure this new, added and VERY different entry under the same name? First, you would have to establish that the new concept is actually

Hi, I was wondering if there is any way to have a numbered list whose numbers start where a previous list left off. What I mean is something like what I've put in italics below, but where the kangaroo examples are labeled 3 and 4 instead of 1 and 2. If this is possible, it would be enormously useful for example formatting in articles about linguistics.

Blah blah blah here are two English sentences:

1. Every farmer who owns a donkey beats it.
2. A farmer who owns a donkey beats it.

Blah blah blah here are two more English sentences:

1. If Kangaroos didn't have tails, they would topple over.

Hey, thanks for the answer! That would work as a hackey solution, but often in practice this will be substantial amounts of text between the items. That's a very good point. So it sounds like what I'm looking for really isn't possible with the current wikipedia resources. Is this something that could be developed? I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult, though I don't know much about how wikimarkup works under the hood. (Maybe the mechanism used for references could be adapted?). @Botterweg14: Not exactly, but my point was that automatic numbering has limited use in a Wikipedia article, and that it usually makes more sense to number items manually, if at all. Having said that, I did the following with {{Ordered list}}:

You still have to manually set the |start= parameter (after the first group) to the correct starting value for the group. There may be things (some other templates, etc.) that don't work well when wrapped in the template, either. In many cases, number isn't really necessary, but especially in longer sections it would be extremely useful as a means of referring back to examples without using phrasing that "breaks the fourth wall". Well, it would be nice to have such a tool that would be able to keep track of numbering throughout an article – not just of example sentences in linguistics, but also of mathematical expressions or diagrams in science articles. I don't know of any tool that does that, and from my own limited experience of tinkering I don't think one can be created. At least not as a template (because for it to work each invocation of a template will need to store a variable to be accessed by the next instance of the template, but that's impossible as each invocation of a template on a page is processed independently of the others). This should be achievable from the software side though (recall how well the mediawiki engine keeps track of reference numbers?), so an extension can probably be created by the developers (who knows, maybe one exists already). Regardless, the next place to pose this question would be Wikipedia:Village pump (technical), that should definitely solicit feedback from people with more technical experience than me. – Uanfala (talk) 13:07, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, it won't let me edit the page for CNN for "protection against vandalism" apparently, I was just attempting to revert the article to it's previous, more accurate version, I would be happy to continue to do so once I'm able to edit the article.
