The result of the debate was Delete. Those favoring retention in this case have failed to establish a link between "lightbulb jokes" and Wikipedia. While humor is certainly allowed at WP, random humor (unrelated to encyclopedic work) is not to be encouraged. For this reason, deletion succeeds based on strength of argument. Lightbulb joke archives
These pages archive unencyclopedic content, namely lists of lightbulb jokes that were removed from Lightbulb joke for a good reason. - ∅ (∅), 05:30, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Delete as inappropriate for the encyclopedia, and definitely inappropriate as a talk page subpage. If they were once added to the article, they're still in the history, so I see no reason to keep. - Koweja (talk) 06:53, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Userfy or move into projectspace. A talk page subpage isn't really an appropriate place to keep these, but there's no reason to delete them, per extensive precedent for keeping humorous pages on Wikipedia. WaltonOne 10:54, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Userfy or move into projectspace per Walton One. They don't belong where they are, but there's no reason to delete them. Bart133 (t) (c) 16:15, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Move into projectspace per Walton One. There is no need for a talk page, but I'd guess this fits into Cat:Humor. --tennisman 16:19, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
- Commment if we do move it into project space (which I'm still opposed to as it has nothing to do with wikipedia), the lists should be trimmed down. A lot. Many of those (especially the university ones) are basically just in-jokes that 99% of people won't get. Many others are just very, very not funny. - Koweja (talk) 17:19, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

- Delete. Wikipedia isn't a joke repository, and these really serve no purpose for bettering the encyclopedia, so no need to move to projectspace. Perhaps they could be transwikied to a joke wiki if one could be found. —Scott5114↗ [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 18:34, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
- http://uncyclopedia.org/wiki/Lightbulb would be a good place. - Koweja (talk) 02:18, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- I strongly oppose moving these pages into project space; these pages are not Wikipedia humor, they are lists of lightbulb jokes that have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Wikipedia. - ∅ (∅), 09:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
- And if userfied, they'd still constitute an abuse of userspace; had I found these pages lying around in someone's user space, I would have MFD'd them just the same, per ]
- Delete per WP:IINFO. Do not move into projectspace or userspace, as these are standard jokes that have no relation to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a random joke repository, and there are plenty of websites that serve this function. – Black Falcon (Talk) 17:53, 17 January 2008 (UTC)]
- Strong delete, and absolutely do not userfy or put in Wikispace. This has nothing to do with encyclopedia writing. It also really isn't funny. We keep way too many pages on the pretext that they might be worth a chuckle, pages that even our local humor uncyclopedia would delete (because they're stupid and just not funny). >Radiant< 23:25, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
