I am all for freedom of speech but the statement "ON WIKI, MACEDONIANS ARE FORBIDEN" is plainly unsubstantiated in the extreme. Law Lord (talk) 11:33, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Looking through
Wikipedia:User page#What may I not have on my user page?, I can't find any obvious violations - this is a editor's opinions about Wikipedia - and although the editor may be mistaken in my opinion, they are entitled to express their opinion. Looking at his Archive at the Slovenian wikipedia and here, the editor may be disruptive in areas, but I think before an MfD was created, the editor should have been politely asked to remove the "DID SOMEBODY NOTICED THAT ON WIKI, MACEDONIANS ARE FORBIDEN, AND THERE ARE DOUBLE STANDARTS FOR MACEDONIANS." statement, as this is (as Law Lord says) unsubstantiated. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 19:48, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply

The editor has not been active for several months (last edit 21 July 2009). Otherwise, I would have placed a polite request at first, since I agree with you that such a notice should be the first course of action. I think his statement falls under "Material that can be viewed as attacking other editors", which is #10 at
your link. --Law Lord (talk) 20:08, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply

He is not attacking other editors per #10, which particular ones is he supposed to be attacking? He is complaining about the whole of wikipedia.

  • Blank (or delete now that we're here) due to being a negative, non-constructive, rant lacking evidence or explanation. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 10:06, 15 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep by all means delete the offending sentences and send a polite note to the user requesting they are more constructive in the future but do not delete the whole page. This user is very sporadic but has been on wikipedia for over 2 years. It is not unusual for this user to go a few months without editing. The user has over 1000 edits and to blank his userpage for containing a few gripes about his perception of wikipedia only serves to confirm his suspisions. It may well be that he has come up against some extremely forcefull anti-Macedonian editors. Let us keep the sledgehammer in the shed for the moment.
