The guideline is intended to bring Australian and New Zealand into a standard format that reflects

in those countries and the relevant local communities.

Naming

Generally, stations in Australia and New Zealand should take the following forms: "[NAME] railway station" for

WP:COMMONNAME
policy.

  • City/local community, for cases where the name is ambiguous within New Zealand.
  • Other: Use dates, railway names, etc., for cases where there are multiple stations of the same name in the same place, as may happen with historical stations.
