Statement of the dispute

Refusal to follow consensus, personal attacks, incivility.

Description

Dispute over edit to File manager and related topics is overshadowed by incivility, personal attacks and lack of cooperation from User:Exidor. This area of the topic has been the subject of dispute before, see Talk:Orthodox_file_manager and a AfD involving one or more editors in this dispute, e.g., User:Karnesky versus Special:Contributions/86.213.91.157.

Evidence of disputed behavior

(Provide diffs. Links to entire articles aren't helpful unless the editor created the entire article. Edit histories also aren't helpful as they change as new edits are performed.) Unfortunately, many of Exidor's edits over the past few days have not been civil.

  1. Initial edit (one of several), with disparaging comment (calling nomenclature used by several articles "idiocy") by Exidor
  2. revert by Exidor, commenting "WHAT THE HELL MORE THAN THAT do you need???" (listed in failed dispute resolution as well)
  3. Response on his talk page to editor raising civility, accuracy, and sock puppet concerns (listed in failed dispute resolution as well):
  4. Exidor's uncivil response to a second post on his talk page raising civility concerns
  5. Exidor's userpage states that he doesn't "give a fuck" about WP:CIVIL & that he considers it a waste of time to endeavor for civility
  6. comments by Exidor in a discussion on the article's talk page describing those with different viewpoints than his as clueless and dense
  7. Exidor emphasizing part of Tedickey's username as a personal attack and telling him to shut up
  8. General hot-tempered edits
