DUCK - Arabistan and AuH2ORepublican have been having a somewhat uncourteous content dispute at Talk:List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia/Archive 1#question.

Lo meein appears and functionally all of their edits are about AuH20 and raising an ANI on the content dispute. Nosebagbear (talk) 12:21, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Based on the edit on List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia, the sock master may also preformed log out edit using 77.42.250.60 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) as well. Matthew hk (talk) 12:40, 23 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm opening this here because there was another report on the same user a month ago which was closed as unrelated (probably because it was too soon at the time). However, mounting evidence ever since seems too strong just to ignore that this is a fairly obvious

case. Namely (but not limited to) the following:

• User interactions on List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia and Talk:List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia are very strong, as roughly 30-40% of both user's total edit count is focused on these two pages. Further, Arabistan's account was created on 23:16, 9 June 2019 and stopped editing on 23:13, 16 June 2019. Lo meiin's account was created on 09:23, 23 July 2019, and it has been editing ever since.
• Obsession with including Palestine as a fully recognized state at List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia. This includes the use of very similar arguments (note on the exact same use of the UNSC 8/9 vote-argument: [1] [2]) or even similarly-written comments (all in content, formatting and size): Arabistan ([3] [4]), Lo meiin ([5] [6]).
• Obsession with

• I've also seen a previous SPI on two users (Kawhilaugh42 and Do laima) whose behaviour seems to mirror that of Arabistan and Lo meiin: similar editing style, similar focus on the categorization of Palestine, similar focus on the List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia, strong interactions ([12] [13]) and several disputes on the issue with AuH2O. This could probably explain Arabistan and Lo meiin's harsh tone with AuH2O, because they would have already engaged in discussion (and disagreed) in the past over the same issue. If this was the case, then probably this SPI, including its archive, should be merged into Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Kawhilaugh42 or whatever else is due.
• There is also this rather strange comment from Lo meiin where they inadvertently acknowledge to having made an effort in showing a distinct behaviour to previous sockpuppets of a confirmed sockmaster, Talatastan, which in the discussion at Talk:List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia/Archive 1#question is mentioned as possibly being related to Kawhilaugh42. Further, Talatastan's interventions at Talk:List of sovereign states and dependent territories in Asia/Archive 1#Palestine and Wikipedia and user interactions show similar patterns to those of all other accounts suspected of sockpuppetry.

As a result of all of it, I'm requesting a CheckUser investigation, aside from behavioural evidence, to determine whether there is technical evidence of connection between some or all of the five accounts. Impru20^talk 12:32, 31 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
