PMDrive1061: With all due respect, it is not the duty of a check user to forward you the IP of a disruptive user, even under these circumstances. That information is considered confidential, hence why only Checkusers can view that information. If there is an issue, file a complaint with your local authorities. Upon request, Wikipedia, as well as the other sites where you are being stalked will be more than willing to provide investigators with the information. --

Damn it, the little bastard is now impersonating me with a bogus YouTube account. Without the IP, I'm screwed. I don't have admin rights at Eflightwiki.com and he is out of control. I have no way of contacting the admin on that site and YouTube/Google is closed until Monday. I am in serious trouble here!!

Yes, please forward the information to Eflightwiki and to YouTube. I have e-mailed YouTube, filed for assistance on a cyber-stalking help site and I've just e-mailed my local authorities inquiring as to what I need to do to initiate an investigation. This has stopped being fun and I refuse to have some faceless coward attempt to ruin my reputation on the internet. It'sbeen fun until now.

To those not familiar with this case, this is an LTA with a very long history. This user is commonly referred to "George Reeves Person" and persistently makes harassments toward various users on and off-wiki. He is now globally banned by the Wikimedia Foundation. He has some other old accounts, including Projects (CentralAuth).

Some typical interests of this editor include boxing, chess and more. He also tends to spam certain external links in talk pages or edit summaries. Meanwhile, it is his common behavior to create more than one sock accounts at the same time.

Sygurdtoja made this edit: diff, mywikibiz link spamming, also note Iraq & the Guardian. This was done at Talk:Qusay Hussein.

Gogforever made this edit: diff, linking the Guardian with Iraq in the URL, done at Talk:Iraq War, a related topic of the above.

A few other non-stale socks include: Goingforwardd, Tskvikalegacy, Indonesianflower, Aliforever2, Finetree2, Indonesprez, Remembertelaviv, Telavivshot, Telavivtel, Indocomunist and probably a lot more, with behavioral match (technical as well, mostly from steward side) though I wouldn't get into details here.

While checkuser may verify the relation between accounts, checking additional socks will be helpful, because I report these socks to stewards for locking and almost every time additional ones are found. IP blocks may also be feasible as this user sometimes (re-)uses Comcast Business, library/edu IP and so on, possibly frequenting some specific locations. -★- PlyrStar93 →Message me. ← 23:27, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Plyrstar for your help on this. I've been removing this guy's rubbish for more than 13 years. (If anyone ever has any question whether a sock is him or not, just ask me. I recognize him.) Thanks Bbb23. That's unfortunate, but more or less consistent with what I have seen. This editor does edit with IP, either at enwiki or other projects. I have seen their IP hopping all over the world in a very short period of time so I am certain he is using some proxy/VPN service, but don't know which ones, and the IP when looked up almost never show as known proxy (most of them look like home internet IP). -★- PlyrStar93 →Message me. ← 00:50, 10 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

(An aside about the recent copycat situation -- since they're both equally banned, they're equally blockable, and it actually doesn't matter.) I requested a CU to look for other socks.
