Per a report on

group of related users) coming over here from being blocked on the Greek Wikipedia, disruptively editing various Greek football articles. A particular hallmark is obsession with writing that various stadiums are located in Piraeus, removing citations that place them in Athens, e.g. [9], [10], [11], [12], as well as calling reverts of their disruptive edits "vandalism".   • The same scenario is observed in the greek WP, where Vrahomarinaner is using multiple IP addresses and puppets to push his pro-Pireaus and pro-Olympiakos FC POV (or at least what he thinks is a pro-Pireaus POV).   • Ugh, there's like 100+ users on this IP range that are pretty much technically indistinguishable. I don't know anything about sports, so maybe a checkuser who knows sports should look at it before there's a blockpocalypse (or would it be a blockalypse?). P.S. You can’t tell the players without a program. As I understand it, socks of Vrahomarinarer are the ones who want the articles to say “Piraeus”. That is also what the IPs reported here favor. The other side, including the reporting user Jjik43, want the articles to say “Athens”. There may be registered users in good faith on one side or the other who are not socks of anyone, so a DUCK test should probably not be relied on by itself. -- MelanieN (talk) 20:33, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • This was reported at AIV, and I spent a little time looking at it before realizing (as another admin there had said) it was too complicated for AIV (and for me). This needs either a Checkuser, or an admin familiar with previous history, or both, I think. Two IPv6's are edit warring over this kind of thing, and then the reporting user here and User:Chalk19 are each reverting one of the those two IPv6's, calling each one a sock or an LTA, and each implying it should be obvious the other is the sock, but it isn't obvious to me at all. --Floquenbeam (talk) 16:37, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Without having read this, I blocked 2A02:587:8000::/43 (block range · block log (global) · WHOIS (partial)) earlier today because of edit warring over definitions of Athens again at ... oh I don't even remember which article, this vandalism is quite widespread. In response I received this message on Wikidata, which led me here. Needless to say, yep, these IPs are Vrahomarinaner.

This user has some kind of obsession with certain issues, such as Athens. The page Olympiacos F.C. is temporarily semi-protected because the user, using dozens of different IPs, had been persistently deleting what he thought was wrong, something that resulted in edit-wars. See [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18], [19]. He obviously decided to do this as an IP user when one more of his multiple accounts, User:Κοκκινιώτης, was blocked, because in the same page he had exactly the same disruptive edits: [20], [21]. As soon as the page got protected, he performed in the same way using his account User:Αντιγονος, see [22]. The problem with him is that he is constantly making new accounts and uses so many IPs, editing always in the same way. He has done so in the page of Athens as well (see [23], [24], [25]) and he has contacted me (as an IP user) sending an insulting and arrogant message about the above issues in my talk page. As previously mentioned, some of the accounts in this check are real users, unrelated to Vrahomarinaner. This request is an act of trolling that should be removed. After all, it was submitted by an anonymous IP. Glucken123 (talk) 16:40, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

PS. Vrahomarinaner has been creating many socks in en/ and el/ WPs; that, everybody knows, it's no news. But the so-called "anti-Piraeus" troll (user Trefoil13 / Jjik43, the IP that filed this request), a
Panathinaikos Club (of Athens) fun who detests anything connected to Piraeus and Olympiacos CFP, many times is pretextually bringing forward the case of Vrahomarinaner as a sockmaster, in order to give an excuse to his own unconstructive and abusive editing. Chalk 19 is a systematic liar is not the first time. 1st I didn't accused him to be 100% vrahonarinaner puppet [26] , 2nd never accused a user as a vrahomarinaner puppet, 3rd this user attack to anyone who are against vrahomarinaner as he did to αλαν13 account and a lot of others. Please note that whithout any doubt all the above IPs belong to the cross-wiki troll Trefoil13 / Jjik43, blocked infed. in several WPs. Trefoil13 has been blocked indef. in en/WP: "Reason: Clearly not here to contribute to the encyclopedia: Abusing multiple accounts", and de/WP: "Reason: Sperrumgehung, keine Besserung erkennbar" (Block evasion, no improvement) [27]. Jjik43 has been blocked indef. in en/WP: "Reason: Sock puppetry confirmed - SPI case Trefoil13", and in el/WP: "Reason: Κατάχρηση πολλαπλών λογαριασμών" (Sock puppetry) [28]. Ckalk19 have a strong obsession about Piraeus exactly as vrahinarinaner have. Any contribute to a article related with even improve it called it Anti-Piraeus campaign and attack to the user. This is a paranoic thing. And of course nothing to do with olympiakos as the sports articles which users usually revert the vandalisms of this users Vrahomarinaner etc is panathinaikos or other team articles, or competitions. The resentful troll strikes back in full force again ! Let me put down a couple of very interesting observations. The troll mentioned user Άλαν13 ("as he did to αλαν13"). Άλαν13, is a Panathinaikos fun and aggressive editor who is mainly active in el/WP and was for a while suspected to be a sock of Trefoil13 / Jjik43, because of imitation of their pattern in some ways. In August 19th a monthly page ban was imposed on Άλαν13 [31] in el/WP, namely to refrain from writing in my user talk page, since he was continuously disturbing me with annoying posts. Now, right above, the troll is referring again to user Άλαν 13 through the provided links. Perhaps, a closer connection between those two (Trefoil13 / Jjik43 on one hand, and Άλαν13 on the other) does exist after all. Or, maybe, it's just the "master" who defends the "pupil", and attacks me one more time. Finally: the supposedly "anonymous" user claims that I blame others (of his kind, he means) with paranoic things. Well, how logical (= not paranoid) is to insist that two users (myself and user Οσελότος) who have no common behavioural pattern are the same person, Vrachmarinaner (!), and -moreover- all this based on a recent one and only contribution of that new account named Γουέμπλεϊ? ǁǁǁ ǁ Chalk19 (talk) 08:19, 23 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This whole section and request are both ridiculous acts of trolling, posted by an "anonymous" user, who has been previously banned from Wikipedia, and keeps chasing other users in retaliation. Chalk19's suspicions seem to be valid, as the wording and poor use of English language are strong indicators, pointing towards a well-known disgraced user. Even if I am wrong about their identity, please proceed with completing the user check as it will prove my original claims and justify my previous attempt to erase this request - that Chalk19 is completely unrelated to any sockpuppeting activities on Wikipedia. In regards to any anonymised approaches on this section, I find it extremely problematic that anyone can simply come in and submit their trolling requests by hiding their identity. This should be halted in the future to protect users like Chalk19 and create a more safe environment for the ones who have been contributing to Wikipedia for so many years. @Glucken123: There isn't much to do, actually. User Οσελότος is stale, so even if he were V/M's sock (and mine !) it cannot be proven "technically"; furthermore, I think there is no point to block that account even based on behavioural terms, because its inactive since March. So, what is left ? I) to check if user Γουέμπλεϊ is me (!!!), II) to check if user Γουέμπλεϊ is a sock, that is to find connections with other active accounts, sleppers etc., that may belong to V/M; a pointless effort, since there are dozens of V/M's socks everywhere. Conclusion: the one and only reason of this surreal request is me: I have been targeted by a blocked troll, cought in the past using multiple identities, a spiteful troll because I was the one to have him exposed in several WPs. Yeah, I'd say just play along for now until this baseless accusation collapses, so we can take it from there. It's basically the same pattern all the time: banned users, who were previously targeted for their inappropriate, and sometimes abusive, behaviour, now return in retaliation just to further abuse the ones who exposed their activity.
