• Keep Template:Denmark 2018 replacement football squad due to special circumstances. I created it. All 17 players with articles only got their article because they played this one match 2018 Slovakia v Denmark football match. It was discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football/Archive 119#Denmark national team strike. They are otherwise non-notable low-tier football or futsal players who at short notice replaced the normal team. None of them have any other navboxes. Their notability is closely tied to this match and the navbox ties their articles together. Without it, many of them would almost be orphans. Some would only be linked in the match article. The article on the match can serve to connect the player articles. As consensus exists to only use navboxes for major international tournaments, I don't see the need for its use for a single friendly match. There should be enough topics elsewhere on Wikipedia that can link to the players to avoid orphans. This is not the only case of a team featuring mostly single-cap, lower division players, having a navbox for every case would defeat the purpose of why this consensus exists. S.A. • Keep Denmark 2018. Delete paralympic and Albanian squads. Neutral on Asian Games, Southeast Games, and SAFF Championship squads though since there could be arguments for or against them as all three can technically be considered major or small competitions. The AFC Asian Cup and the AFC Women's Asian Cup are the only two top-level continental competitions in Asia that merit navigational boxes. The purpose of this prior consensus is to avoid navboxes for these lower level competitions. S.A. Julio (talk) 02:11, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
