All single-use templates, only used at their respective team season pages. The names listed in the templates are almost entirely non-notable and the templates should be substituted into the main article. Eagles 24/7 (C) 20:04, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

substitute and delete the single-use ones. for the non-single-use ones, merge with the season article and use
WP:LST to show on the main team page. Frietjes (talk) 16:25, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply

The result of the discussion was delete after replacing with {{title missing}} Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 15:05, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

According to the documentation, "This is a (probably-temporary) template used by @BrownHairedGirl to track a set of references which are being improved." BHG was ArbCom banned last year, and even in normal circumstances this doesn't seem like the best use of a template. Additionally, it's not a very helpful template for tracking as it doesn't output a category in most cases or make anything appear on the article pages, so you have to know it exists to use it, and most of its uses are already tracked by Category:CS1 errors: bare URL. :Jay8g [VTE] 20:12, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep While it's unfortunate that BrownHairedGirl gave up on this task before finishing it, there is no deadline and thus no reason to prevent someone else from continuing the work she started. * Pppery * it has begun... 05:21, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete and replace with {{Title missing}}, which appears to serve the same purpose (but which may benefit from a tracking category).
Comment: If this is kept, it will need an overhaul to make it useful to more than just one (banned) editor. I am happy to work on it to update the documentation, add categories, remove it when the reference has already been converted to {{cite xxx}}, and otherwise make it useful. – Jonesey95 (talk) 14:19, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No objection to a redirect to {{Title missing}}, but I don't see the need to delete in that case. * Pppery * it has begun... 14:50, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No real objection to a redirect, but replying to Pppery: I don't see the need to keep a strangely named template name (created by a now-banned editor) that is redundant to an established, maintained, documented template with a good name. – Jonesey95 (talk) 18:48, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete and replace per Jonesey. If the title of interest showed up at RFD it would be deleted probably. Izno (talk) 17:59, 12 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Template:OTRS topicon

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more templates or modules. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the template's ).

The result of the discussion was rename. to Template:Volunteer Response Team topicon 2. Primefac (talk) 13:19, 15 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Propose merging

Template:OTRS topicon with Template:Volunteer Response Team topicon
.
Template:Volunteer Response Team topicon exists and this could be merged with that as a optional icon choice as both templates do the same thing Isla🏳️‍⚧ 19:38, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No to the merge. The OTRS topicon should simply be deleted since WP:OTRS no longer exists, and hasn't for a while now. It doesn't improve or add anything to the VRT topicon. Atsme 💬 📧 21:00, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • I agree with Atsme. Do not merge; rather delete the OTRS topicon. -- Avi (talk) 00:34, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Delete
Template:OTRS topicon1 and Template:OTRS topicon2. Since the OTRS does not exist anymore, these are not helpful. Any user that is part of the Volunteer Response Team should use its template. Gonnym (talk) 13:43, 24 January 2024 (UTC)[reply

Delete Merging doesn't make sense. Delete all and keep VRTS topicon only. ─

  • Rename
Template:OTRS topicon to Template:VRT topicon2 and redirect it there. I note that in the previous TfD involving these exact two same templates, this was suggested. I think it's better than deletion; the new VRT topicon is a bit hard to see and it's generally quite ugly (an aesthetic opinion, but these are topicons). Deleting makes little sense if users want to continue to use the old topicon for their own userpages out of aesthetic choice. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 16:03, 25 January 2024 (UTC)[reply

The topicon was designed for my WP user page, and should not be merged. I have vision issues, and can see it quite easily. You are welcome to create whatever you want for your own user page, so can we please close this discussion? VRT has nothing to do with Wikipedia. VRT is a Wikimedia Foundation volunteer position, and I am not aware of any reason why a wmf VRT volunteer cannot use their own topicon design on their WP user pages. If you have a good reason that I cannot use it, I will stand corrected. Atsme 💬 📧 16:58, 28 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete OTRS topicon, no need to merge anything. Frietjes (talk) 18:20, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move or merge as a style=2 option. Yes "otrs" is gone, but the tooltip and the actual icon dont say anything about otrs, the actual image is much cleaner on the old one as well. — xaosflux Talk 23:32, 31 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
