This WikiProject aims at producing a standard for all articles relating to the Christian liturgical year.

This WikiProject is, in some ways, descended from the more general WikiProject Holidays.

1. Give a unity of presentation to all articles that relate to the Christian liturgical year as practiced in each tradition.
2. Avoid bias towards the
   Roman Catholic Church in Western Christianity and Eastern Orthodoxy in Eastern Christianity
   , by using broad terminology where possible, and making minority traditions visible.
3. Establish a hierarchy of articles from
   Christian liturgical year?) at the top, through Western Christian liturgical year (for example), through Lutheran liturgical year (for example), and/or through Eastertide (for example), down to a specific Second Sunday of Easter
   (for example).
4. Produce a single navigational template which carries the top level of the heirarchy, and broadens out as one moves to lower levels of the hierarchy.
