It's a fan-run archive at best, right? I doubt it would ever be an appropriate link in any article, and certainly not if the copyrights aren't absolutely clear. --

It looks like the same issue was brought up at
WP:RSN#Siskel and Ebert, and resulted in consensus for removal of the links, due to the site owner's acknowledgement of not having legal rights for the copyrighted content. --- Barek (talkcontribs

Report of silly vandalism

I have just reversed a silly bit of spam in the

Aleut article. A user with the number 198.236.22.153 had changed Russia to taco. I checked another entry by this person on a different article and they had changed something to "taco" there too. I hope this is the right way to report this abuse. Sincerely, John Hill (talk

Sorry, no, this page is for spam. Changing Russia to Taco is not "spam", it's "vandalism". See

Thanks so much for the clarification of "spam" and "vandalism." I did know the difference but somehow got mixed up - maybe I can blame my age :)? I was going to leave a message on the User's Talk Page - but I couldn't find one - just a list of his edits, at least one of his other edits showed the inappropriate changing of a word in another article to "taco" (although someone else had already reversed it). I didn't bother trying to check any more of his entries, but perhaps I should? I have just this minute found his Talk Page and I will do as you suggested. Northern Sydney spamming

Some Greater Sydney area IPs and a registered account have added the first two above links for promotion purposes,[2][3][4][5][6] sometimes both together,[7][8] or changing one to the other.[9]

The third link was added twice, one of those times to the same page previously spammed by the above links.[10][11]

Multiple IPs spamming links into articles, often replacing the

Template:Deadlink
with the spam link. The IP addresses are known spam sites from Tunisia.

I doubt these are all the same person, or even groups of people working together. Instead, it appears to be a range of ip's regularly used by spammers. --

More spamming accounts

The latest spamming blitz consists of a new account adding a one-word greeting to his user talk page such as "hey" or "ola!", often a nationality template to his user page, then adding a spam link masquerading as a reference to a single article. Examples ; [[15]], [[16]], [[17]], [[18]], [[19]], [[20]], [[21]], [[22]], [[23]], [[24]], [[25]], [[26]], and lots more.

Navbox for a real estate company's properties

I'm looking askance at a navbox (in obvious need of being moved to a template) at the bottom of Madison Marquette that lists a very large number of properties associated with that real estate developer and operator, about some of which there are articles. In one sense there's nothing unusual about this, collecting links to a large number of articles related to a single topic into a navbox. On the other hand, because this is a commercial operation, it smacks of a portal for doing business. Maybe I'm overthinking it. What do you all think? —Largo Plazo (talk) 14:00, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Spammer

Indonesian online gaming site, has been added in the past to article titles containing "M88" - links have been removed. Site is possibly encouraging external link spams (but my Indonesian is a bit rusty). No way, this kind of website link will ever be useful on Wikipedia. GermanJoe (talk) 08:44, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

Schoolfinder.co.in

There's some IPs going around systematically adding Schoolfinder.co.in's "rankings" of Indian schools in various categories. These appear to have no notability.
