Expand project to cover all horology?

Since this Project is just getting started, I wanted to sound people out on the possibility of expanding it to cover all of

horology; that is both watches and clocks. The technical aspects of watches and clocks (watchmaking and clockmaking) overlap a good deal. I am interested in the technical side and history of both watches and clocks, and I know a number of other wikipeople that are too. I'm looking for Info about an Elgin National Watch Co. Pocket Watch, Serial#: 13796821 Case#: 104954, 17 Jewels 14 Karat.

If anyone can provide or direct me to info regrading this Pocket Watch, since I haven't found anything other than the year via the Serial#

Diffusal of Category:Watch brands

Is anyone willing to create categories to assist in diffusal of this category? The category seems to have gotten too large for a category that appears to be too generic, where there already exist other subcategories to serve this purpose. Jalen Folf (talk) 19:37, 30 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
