Biography

Atkinson was born in 1967 and studied at the

evangelical Anglican theological college, from 2005 to 2007.[1]

Atkinson was

On 19 June 2023, it was announced that Atkinson would be the next Bishop of Bradwell, a suffragan bishop in the Diocese of Chelmsford.[4] On 29 September 2023, he was consecrated as a bishop by Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, during a service at Westminster Abbey,[5] before taking up his new role in November 2023.[6]
