The blackish small-eared shrew (Cryptotis nigrescens) is a species of
Soricidae. It is found in parts of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Panama. An example specific habitat is the Petenes mangroves of the Yucatán.[2]
