Bourbon Township is one of nine townships in Douglas County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 4,099 and it contained 1,402 housing units.[2]
Geography
According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Bourbon Township has a total area of 43.12 square miles (111.68 km2), of which 43.11 square miles (111.65 km2) (or 99.96%) is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 km2) (or 0.04%) is water.[3]

The average household size was 3.31 and the average family size was 3.94.
The township's age distribution consisted of 33.7% under the age of 18, 10.0% from 18 to 24, 22.2% from 25 to 44, 19.6% from 45 to 64, and 14.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 28.8 years. For every 100 females, there were 104.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.2 males.
