Brandon Chase Marsh[1] (born December 18, 1997) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played in MLB for the Los Angeles Angels.
Born in
Marsh made his MLB debut in 2021 as a replacement for injured outfielders Mike Trout and Justin Upton. After a slow start to his major league career, he improved offensively throughout the season. Marsh made the Angels' Opening Day roster in 2022 as part of a platoon of corner outfielders, but he was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies partway through the season.

Early in the Angels' 2020 spring training, Marsh suffered a Grade 2 strain in his left elbow while diving to make a catch in center field.
Los Angeles Angels (2021–2022)
After injuries to
Marsh was named to the Angels' Opening Day roster in 2022 alongside Mike Trout and Jo Adell.[44] Manager Joe Maddon planned to use Trout in center field while rotating Marsh, Adell, and Taylor Ward in the corner outfield positions.[45] Marsh began the season on a hot streak, batting .340 with a .943 on-base plus slugging (OPS) by April 28.[46] By the end of May, he was batting .366, including a .932 OPS with runners in scoring position.[47] Marsh was one of many players to struggle during the Angels' 14-game losing streak in June, batting only .149 during that time. He did not hit a home run between May 7 and June 11, when he recorded two against the New York Mets to break his slump.[48] Marsh played 93 games for Los Angeles in 2022, batting .226 with eight home runs and 37 RBI in that time.[43]

Personal life
Marsh's younger sister Erin Marsh was a track and field athlete for the Duke Blue Devils. She won the silver medal in the pentathlon at the 2021 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships and the bronze medal in the heptathlon at the 2022 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.[55]
