Chaharbagh (

Romanized as Chahār Dāngeh,[4] is a city in the Central District of Chaharbagh County, Alborz province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.[5]

At the National Census in 2006, its population was 5,577 in 1,448 households, when it was in the former Chaharbagh District of Savojbolagh County, Tehran province.[6] At the 2016 census, the city had 48,828 inhabitants in 14,380 households,[2] by which time the county had become part of the newly established Alborz province.[7]

In September 2019, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Chaharbagh County, which was divided into two districts of two rural districts each, with Chaharbagh as its capital and only city.[5]
