Dactylorhiza foliosa, the Madeira orchidperennial growing to 60 cm (24 in) and producing spikes of intense, magenta-pink flowers in late spring.[5]
This plant has gained the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit[3] (confirmed 2017).[6]
