Growing up and career

He started his career at the age of 9 when he joined his father's local drum corps, The Saints. He joined the Garfield Cadets before in 1979 forming the band Atlantic City Expressway with Jon Bon Jovi which played various clubs around New Jersey for five years. Al Chez's newest band Al Chez & The Brothers of Funk Big Band is a big band with 15 members.
