Danushka Kumaratunga is a Sri Lankan writer of Essence[1][2]. Chameera Danushka Kumaratunga commonly known as Danushka Kumaratunga ( Sinhala: ධනුෂ්ක කුමාරතුංග ) is a writer, lyricist, musical artist, creative director[3] & journalist in Sri Lanka. Being a lyricist, Danushka Kumarathunga's creativity gave life to the rock music variation; Manusatha, with the musical legend Chitral Somapala.

Biography
Danushka Kumaratunga was born in
University of Sri Jayawardenepura. Kumarathunga is songwriter, graphic designer, creative director[4] and photographer[5].His music career started in the year 2010. As a lyricist [6] , Kumarathunga's creativity was instrumental in the creation of the rock music piece "Manusatha" in collaboration with musical legend Chitral Somapala. Danushka works full-time at the University of Peradeniya
and was formerly a freelance journalist for the Mawbima newspaper.
Author
Danushka Kumarathunga is the author of Essence[7][8]. Essence is a different genre of design, and its page layout is in a Western magazine format. Danushka is a young Sri Lankan designer who always creates creative and different designs. Essence can be described as a creation that can give visual inspiration to the viewer.As a research work, Essence was a popular work among Sri Lankan readers.
