History

Iveco Group was officially established as an independent company on January 1, 2022, following its spin-off from CNH Industrial.[3] The separation was finalised on December 31, 2021, and Iveco Group's initial public offering (IPO) took place on January 3, 2022, with Exor holding a 27% stake.[4][5][6]

The roots of Iveco Group can be traced back to 1975 with the creation of IVECO (Industrial Vehicles Corporation) through the merger of five truck brands: Fiat Veicoli Industriali, OM and Lancia Veicoli Speciali, Unic from France and Magirus Deutz from Germany. Notably, on January 3, 2025, the ownership of Magirus was transferred to Mutares.[7]
