Edgerton is a city in northeastern
History
A post office called Edgerton has been in operation since 1871.[4] The community was named after one Mr. Edgerton, a railroad employee.[5]

The average household size was 2.60 and the average family size was 2.97.
The median age in the city was 40.2 years. 24.5% of residents were under the age of 18; 7% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 26% were from 25 to 44; 31.4% were from 45 to 64; and 11% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 49.1% male and 50.9% female.

North Platte County R-I School District operates one school in the community: North Platte Intermediate School.[10]
Edgerton has a public library, a branch of the Mid-Continent Public Library.[11]
