Geoffrey Warde

Geoffrey Hodgson Warde (23 August 1889 – 20 May 1972) was an

Anglican bishop in the 20th century.[1]

Biography

The son of Henry John Warde (a priest), he was born in

Croydon, then part of Surrey,[2] educated at Tonbridge School and Keble College, Oxford; in 1915, he married Eileen (daughter of F.K. Hogkinson, priest).[3]

honorary canon of Chichester Cathedral, 1947–1963. He retired in October 1959[14] and died at Hove in 1972.[15]
