light years from the Sun based on parallax measurements,[1] but is drifting closer with a radial velocity of –7.0 km/s.[4]
The components of this system are orbiting each other with a
projected rotational velocity of 185 km/s.[6] The secondary star has 73% of the Sun's mass.[8] The system is young, with an estimated age of 160 million years.[6]
