Hierococcyx or hawk-cuckoos is a genus of

Cuculidae. They are distributed in South, Southeast, and East Asia.^[2] The resemblance to hawks

gives this group the generic name of hawk-cuckoos.

It is sometimes included in the genus Cuculus.
