Taxonomy
Litoria majikthise was described in 1994 by Johnston and Richard. "Majikthise" is a reference to both the fictional philosopher
Majikthise in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and the frog's "vividly coloured thighs and groin."[2]
