Thiruvallur Lok Sabha constituency. It consists of areas like Mathur MMDA, Manali, Milk Colony, Ponniammedu, Madhavaram, Puzhal. It was divided from the Ambattur
taluk. It is one of the 234 State Legislative Assembly Constituencies in Tamil Nadu.
