Michael McPhail (born December 15, 1981) is an American rifle shooter.[2][3] He won a gold medal in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 2011 Pan American Games.[3] He competed in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he placed 9th.[4]
McPhail started training in shooting in 1996. On August 16, 2004, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After completing basic and infantry training at
U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit.[5]
