μ Aqr (Albulaan), were al Bulaʽ (البلع)—the Swallower.[8][9]

Chinese name for ν Aquarii itself is 天壘城十 (Tiān Lěi Chéng shí, English: the Tenth Star of Celestial Ramparts).[11]
