Ohiowa is a village in

History

Ohiowa was platted in 1886 when the railroad was extended to that point.^[5] A majority of the early settlers being natives of the states of Ohio and Iowa caused the name to be selected.^[6][7] The name of the village is unusual in that it contains the complete names of two states.^[8]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.25 square miles (0.65 km²), all land.^[9]

The average household size was 2.17 and the average family size was 2.93.

The median age in the village was 44.5 years. 25.2% of residents were under the age of 18; 3.5% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 21.7% were from 25 to 44; 32.1% were from 45 to 64; and 17.4% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the village was 49.6% male and 50.4% female.

In the village, the population was spread out, with 19.0% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 19.0% from 45 to 64, and 29.6% who were 65 years of age or older.
