Paw Paw Township is one of nineteen townships in DeKalb County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 345 and it contained 130 housing units.[2]

Geography

According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Paw Paw Township has a total area of 37.83 square miles (97.98 km2), of which 37.59 square miles (97.36 km2) (or 99.37%) is land and 0.24 square miles (0.62 km2) (or 0.63%) is water.[3]

The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.17.

The township's age distribution consisted of 30.7% under the age of 18, 1.5% from 18 to 24, 19.2% from 25 to 44, 32.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.9% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40.5 years. For every 100 females, there were 138.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 152.7 males.
