Polur is a scenic town and a Religious site for

Chittor - Cuddalore road (C.C. Road) passes through the town. The town is located 29 Kilometres north of city of Tiruvannamalai and 45 kilometres south of Vellore
Metropolis.

Polur is located at 12°30′N 79°08′E / 12.5°N 79.13°E / 12.5; 79.13.[1] It has an average elevation of 171 metres (561 ft).

Along with many places of worship, Polur has a huge mountain temple dedicated to Lord

Arani. It takes about 1 hour to reach Vellore
