Ravi Kumar Punia

centre-back. He last played in the I-League for Rajasthan United. He currently works as an assistant coach for the Indian Women's League club HOPS FC.[7][8] He has also represented Haryana in Santosh Trophy

Early and personal life

Born in Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, Punia went to Army Public School in Hisar, and took up football through representing the school team.[9] After appearing with Army Public School, he was selected to play for the district team of Hisar; While got experience of playing in numerous states in India, winning the inter-university football championship in 2016.[10][11]

Punia is employed by the Ministry of Labour and Employment – Government of India in ESIC (Employees' State Insurance Corporation).[10] He also represented its association football section in all-India and public-sector tournaments.[10]

Club career

Punia began his senior club football career in Bharat in 2016, team from Pune that went on to compete in 2014–15 season of I-League.[10] He later moved to Xavier's United in 2017 and then got an opportunity of captainship during his tenure at Jaipur's Vijay FC, alongside playing for teams including Mewar Club.[10]

He made his debut for

I-League Qualifiers 2021, later Rajasthan United FC qualified for I-League 2021–22 season.[12][13]
