Sar Khun (
Romanized as Sar Khūn)[3] is a city in Miankuh District of Ardal County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran.[4] As a village, it was the capital of Miankuh Rural District[5] until its capital was transferred to Deh Kohneh-ye Halu Saad.[6] The city is populated by Lurs.[7]
At the 2006 census, its population was 1,887 in 387 households, when it was a village in Miankuh Rural District.[8] The following census in 2011 counted 1,737 people in 392 households.[9] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,131 people in 392 households,[2] by which time the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[4]
