Shanghai Library (with a second name as the Shanghai Institute of Scientific and Technological Information) is a municipal public library in Shanghai, China. It is owned by the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.^[1] The library is one of the largest libraries in the world. Its main building is in Xuhui, with a branch hall in Pudong.^[2] As of 2024, it has a collection of 58 million volumes.^[3]
